Your Pet’s Home Away from Home

Dog in a kennel

Our boarding services provide a safe and comfortable stay for your pet when you’re away. You can go on vacation or away from home without having to worry about the well-being of your furry family members.

Instead, we can offer you peace of mind knowing that your pet is in a safe and secure environment with proper food and care while being supervised by trained professionals.

In fact, because your pet is staying at a veterinary facility, you can rest assured that we are monitoring their health and can treat them accordingly should any issue arise while you’re traveling. Our technicians are also available if your pet has special care needs or requires routine medication. We recommend bringing your own food from home to avoid any digestion issues for your pet. However, if you prefer not to bring your pet’s own food, we provide Hills’ Science Diet Sensitive Stomach formula food during our guests’ stays.

Our facility includes a temperature controlled building, outdoor covered runs, and a large fenced play yard. For the health and safety of all the animals, only pets from the same household can enjoy the play yard at the same time. However, our staff rotates all of the pet’s time in the yard so that all of our guests get ample exercise and time to play. Please do not bring rawhides, rope toys, or any other toys that may pose a choking hazard. You are welcome to bring bedding that is washable, as long as your pet isn’t a nervous chewer.

Note that to participate in our boarding services, pets must be current with certain vaccines. Proof of these vaccinations must be presented prior to arrival:

Dogs:

  1. Canine Distemper-Adenovirus Type 2-Parainfluenza-Parvovirus Vaccine/ Canine Coronavirus Vaccine/Leptospira Bacterin (DHLPPC Vaccine—every year)
  2. Canine Adenovirus Type 2-Parainfluenza-Bordetella Bronchiseptica Vaccine (Bordetella/Kennel Cough Vaccine—every 6 months)
  3. Rabies Vaccine (at least every 3 years)

Cats:

  1. Feline Rhinotracheitis-Calici-Panleukopenia-Chlamydia Psittaci Vaccine (FVRCPC Vaccine—every year)
  2. Feline Leukemia Vaccine (FELV Vaccine—every year)
  3. Rabies Vaccine (at least every 3 years)

Boarding Checklist—What to Bring

  • Your Pet’s Own Food: We recommend you bring your pet’s own daily food. They are welcome to eat our clinic formulas at no additional charge—Science Diet Sensitive Skin and Stomach or Royal Canin GI Lowfat.
  • Vaccination Records: If we are not your pet’s primary veterinarian, we require you to bring vaccination records before or at check in. Vaccinations must be given by a vaccination clinic or veterinarian.
  • Bedding: We ask that bedding brought in for boarding can fit in a standard washing machine. If the pet is a nervous chewer, we would recommend leaving bedding at home to avoid any risk for swallowing material.
  • Medications: Please let our reception staff know if your pet is checking in with medications, and if the pet has had any doses yet that day. Please do not leave medications in food containers or bags.
  • Toys: We accept chew bones and kongs. We do not allow raw hides, natural bones or rope toys that could be choking hazards if chewed/swallowed.
  • Leash or Carrier: All pets must be either leashed or in a carrier in order to enter the facility. We cannot transport loose pets safely to and from the kennels. Please have your pet secured as we often have a busy lobby with other pets.

What NOT to Bring When Boarding Your Pet

  • Bowls: We provide stainless steel bowls that are changed twice a day. Unless pet cannot have a stainless steel bowl, we ask that you not bring bowls from home.
  • Rawhides/Natural Bones: Because of the choking risk and risk of bone splinters, we do not allow these types of chew bones in our kennel.
  • White towels: Because we use white only towels in our grooming area, we ask that clients not bring white towels if they want to keep their specific towel. It will likely get mistaken for what we have for our grooming area.

We are here for you and your pets when they need a home away from home. Contact us today to schedule a boarding stay for your pet.
