At Kroner Animal Care and The Plains Veterinary Hospital, we believe that the key to a long, healthy, and happy life for your beloved pets begins with preventive care. Our dedicated team of veterinarians and staff is committed to providing comprehensive preventive care services that cater to the unique needs of your furry family members.

Preventive care is not just about vaccinations; it's a proactive approach to safeguarding your pet's well-being. Just like regular check-ups with your doctor help catch and prevent health issues, our veterinary preventive care services play a crucial role in ensuring your pet's ongoing health.

Your Pet’s Health, Our Priority

Your pet's health is our top priority. Our experienced and compassionate team is dedicated to partnering with you in providing the highest level of preventive care. Together, we'll ensure that your pets enjoy a lifetime of health, happiness, and wagging tails.

Nose-to-Tail Exam

Our comprehensive wellness exams are the cornerstone of preventive care. They include a thorough physical examination, dental assessment, and an opportunity for you to discuss any concerns you may have about your pet's health. Your veterinarian can also recommend any necessary diagnostics, such as a routine comprehensive test to check blood cells, check for heartworm, and check other essential elements of your pet’s health.

Proactive Protection

Preventive medicine should include vaccinations and proactive care to protect your pet from parasites and disease. For cats, we recommend keeping FVRCP, FELV, and rabies vaccinations current. For dogs, essential vaccines include DAP4L, Bordetella, and rabies. In fact, these are the vaccinations we require for any pets using our boarding and grooming services.

Preventive care is an investment in your pet's health and happiness. It not only helps detect and prevent health issues but also contributes to the overall well-being of your furry family member. Prioritizing preventive care is an act of love and responsibility that benefits both you and your pet.
